Two official sources that do not match
We do not hide the difference: we show both figures with their source and date.
- Tamaulipas. The Treasury Law (amended August 18, 2026) gives 1,173.10, 4,692.40 and 117.31; the Civil Registry's 2026 official procedure sheet publishes 1,175, 4,693 and 118. The sheet does not ask for a medical certificate and marks witnesses as optional; the Civil Code (amended March 30, 2026) requires medical exams.
Sources and review date
- Fee: State Treasury Law, art. 62 (amended Aug 18, 2026). Requirements: Civil Code, art. 85 (amended Mar 30, 2026), and 2026 official procedure sheet.
- UMA. Fees in UMA were converted at 117.31 pesos, the 2026 daily value, and rounded to the cent. We did not average or estimate any figure.

Limitations
- What we infer. When we say a requirement "does not appear" in a code or a procedure sheet, that is all it means: it is not in the text we read. It is not a rule that prohibits it.
Fees are updated every year. Before you pay, confirm with your registry office.
This page summarizes official sources; it is not legal advice. Confirm with your civil registry office before paying.
