Preguntas frecuentes
1. Is Father Angel Andres's ceremony a religious wedding or just a symbolic ceremony?+
It is an authentic Christian religious wedding ceremony celebrated by an Anglican priest, following the Anglican Catholic liturgical tradition. It includes prayers, Bible readings, the exchange of wedding vows, and God's blessing upon your marriage. It is not simply a symbolic ceremony.
2. Can we have a bilingual wedding ceremony in English and Spanish?+
Nosotros hablamos Español, but... Absolutely! I offer bilingual wedding ceremonies in English and Spanish, as well as ceremonies entirely in either language. This allows couples, family members, and friends from different countries to understand, participate, and share the joy of your special day.
3. Will Father Angel Andres provide pastoral guidance before our wedding?+
Yes! I believe your wedding journey begins long before you walk down the aisle. I would love to hear your love story and understand what marriage means to you. We generally arrange three premarital preparation meetings, either in person or online, to discuss married life, prepare your ceremony, and answer your questions. My hope is that you feel welcomed, supported, and at peace throughout the process.
4. How much is the donation for your wedding ceremony services?+
The suggested donation for a religious wedding ceremony is generally USD $600. This contribution helps cover the time devoted to ceremony preparation, premarital meetings, pastoral care, and the celebration of your marriage.
5. How can we book your services or reserve our wedding date?+
The first step is to arrange an online conversation so we can get to know each other, hear your love story, discuss your wishes, and explain how we can prepare your religious wedding ceremony. If, after our first meeting, you decide that you would like me to accompany you on your wedding day, you can confirm your booking with a deposit of 50% of the agreed donation. The remaining 50% will be paid according to our prior agreement. Once the deposit has been received, your wedding date will be reserved. We can then begin preparing this special celebration together. My hope is that from our very first conversation, you will feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.
6. What are the requirements for an Anglican religious wedding?+
Requirements depend on the type of ceremony and each couple's circumstances. Generally, we request a marriage application, identification documents, baptismal information when applicable, and other relevant religious background information. Premarital preparation meetings are also part of the process. I will explain the specific requirements during our first conversation.
7. Is an Anglican marriage recognized by the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian churches?+
The Anglican Church belongs to the wider historic Catholic Christian tradition and maintains relationships of dialogue and recognition with various Christian churches. However, recognition of an Anglican marriage by another denomination depends on its own canon law, the couple's circumstances, and the specific marriage. If you wish to have your marriage recognized by a particular church, we can discuss the appropriate guidance.
8. Can we personalize our religious wedding ceremony?+
Absolutely! Every love story is unique and deserves to be celebrated with care. We can discuss Bible readings, prayers, music, wedding vows, and special moments involving your family and friends. My goal is to create a ceremony that reflects your story, values, and commitment to one another.
9. Can we include our family traditions or different cultural customs?+
Yes. We can discuss the traditions and customs that are meaningful to you. Destination weddings often bring together families from different cultures and countries. My intention is to make everyone feel respected and included while preserving the Christian nature of the ceremony.
10. Does a religious wedding ceremony replace a civil marriage in Mexico?+
No. A religious wedding and a civil marriage are separate acts. My ceremony is religious in nature and does not replace the legal formalities required by the Mexican Civil Registry. Couples must comply with the applicable civil marriage requirements for legal recognition.
